We would like to invite you to a new Studio Louter Café. In this fifth edition, we examine how digital media can be effectively used to connect a visitor to the museum collection, the story of the exhibition and even to other visitors.

We invited two experts to share their thoughts:

Dave Patten is a true new media enthusiast. As head of new media at the Science Museum in London, he helped set up the Digital Lab. The Lab works on short running projects that allow the museum to experiment with new technologies. One of his projects was to examine and develop new ways of making the collection accessible through digital means.

Philosopher and writer Hans Schnitzler is intrigued by the relationship between humans and technology. As a philosopher, he critically examines this relationship and analyses how digital media affect us. Hans is the philosopher in residence of EYE Filmmuseum and writes for De Volkskrant, NRC and de Groene Amsterdammer. At De Wereld Draait Door he spoke about one of his books: ‘Kleine filosofie van de digitale onthouding’.
